NovaPad

NovaPad Classic is a small browser-based writing tool inspired by simple desktop editors.

Write notes, drafts, outlines, feedback, or design documents in a clean paper-focused workspace. It includes basic formatting, RTF saving, TXT/HTML export, word and character counts, a word goal tracker, templates, find/replace, dark mode, focus mode, autosave snapshots, and a draggable sticky note.

This tool was created mainly because I got frustrated working with the RTF Format in default Notepad. That's it. That's the reason. I'm not shy in admitting I made this more for myself.

Update (7/18/26)

- Fixed imported RTF default black/white text colors overriding dark mode.

- Imported RTF bug fix with formatting among other oddities.

- Cleans old recovered autosave text colors from previous RTF imports.

- Added real app hotkeys instead of relying on browser defaults:

  - Ctrl+S: Save RTF

  - Ctrl+B: Bold

  - Ctrl+I: Italic

  - Ctrl+U: Underline

  - Ctrl+F: Find/Replace

  - Ctrl+Z: Undo

  - Ctrl+Y or Ctrl+Shift+Z: Redo

  - Ctrl+P: Print

  - Ctrl+N: New document
